Our Practice
A practice built around
the pace families need.
moradokq was established to handle inheritance matters with care — attending carefully to the personal detail that standard legal services rarely make room for.

How moradokq came about
moradokq was opened in 2009 by a small group of Bangkok-based lawyers who had spent the preceding years in larger practices and noticed, repeatedly, how inheritance instructions were handled. Clients with long-term family matters tended to find themselves with short appointment windows, dense documentation, and little room for the kind of patient conversation the subject usually calls for.
The practice was set up specifically to address that. The chambers on Si Phraya Road accommodate a small number of active client files at any given time, and meeting schedules are arranged so that no appointment is rushed. The written work — wills, estate plans, supporting correspondence — is drafted in plain language and reviewed line by line with the client before it is finalised.
Fifteen years on, the practice remains deliberately small. The caseload is kept at a level that allows senior-level attention on every file. Most clients come through word of mouth from families who have used the service before.
Our Approach
What shapes how we work
Succession law in Thailand sits within the Civil and Commercial Code, and its practical application varies considerably depending on the composition of a family, the nature of the assets involved, and whether any cross-border considerations apply. We begin every instruction by listening to the full picture before offering any view on how it might be arranged.
We do not work from standard templates. Each will and each estate plan is drafted fresh, in language chosen to suit the family reading it. Where technical terms cannot be avoided, they are explained in plain language within the same document. The intention is that a relative who has never read a legal document should be able to understand the will without assistance at the relevant time.
Fees are fixed for all three services and stated clearly before any work begins. There are no time-based charges and no additions for correspondence or review drafts.
The Team
The people working on your file

Siriporn Kanchanakorn
Client Coordinator
Siriporn manages scheduling, client correspondence, and the administrative side of each file. She is the first point of contact for new enquiries.
Standards
How we handle each file
Thai Bar Association membership
All counsel at the practice hold current membership of the Thai Bar Association and observe its professional and ethical requirements.
Strict client confidentiality
All client information is held in strict confidence and stored in a secure document management system. Files are shared only with the client's written consent.
Plain-language documentation
Every document is reviewed against a plain-language standard before it is presented to the client. Technical terms that remain are defined within the document itself.
Structured review schedule
Estate plan clients receive a written annual review schedule at the outset. Review appointments are treated as substantive meetings, not administrative formalities.
Fixed, transparent fees
All three services carry fixed fees in Thai Baht, confirmed in writing before work begins. There are no time-based charges or additions for follow-up correspondence.
No-obligation first meeting
The initial consultation is a listening session. Clients leave with a written summary of options but carry no commitment to instruct the practice further.
About Our Work
Inheritance law in Thailand is governed principally by Books IV and V of the Civil and Commercial Code, which set out the statutory order of succession, the requirements for a valid will, and the rules governing the administration of estates. The Code operates alongside family law provisions that affect how property acquired during a marriage passes on death. Navigating this framework calls for careful attention to the specifics of each family's situation rather than a generalised approach.
At moradokq, we work with individuals and families at different stages of the process — some approaching the subject for the first time, others returning to update documents put in place years earlier, and some dealing with the administration of a relative's estate. Each instruction is handled with the same attention regardless of its scale.
Bangkok's international character means that many of our clients hold assets or maintain family connections in more than one country. While our work addresses Thai law, we are experienced in identifying where cross-border issues arise and in framing documents that interact clearly with advice a client may receive in another jurisdiction.
